- a tethered peripheral nerve can become demyelinated
- this creates ion channels that are extra senstive - they become
- chemosensitive
- mechanosensitive
- thermosensitive
- fire sponataneously
- when they fire, the impulse can go either proximally or distally AND
- the area of AIGs is often not the symptomatic site
For this reason, you should strive to treat the entire neural container, and not just the symptomatic area
