In this 8+ min video, I go over a recent case of a chronic lumbar patient with left sided low back pain. The progression I tried to start having him accept load (extension or unilateral ipsilateral load - to the left) was
- sidegliding in standing - not tolerated
- prone modified hips offset, not tolerated, peripheralized complaints, severe low back pain
- rotation in flexion (not mentioned in the video) - this is normally my last ditch unilateral loading technique - the position significantly increased L sided low back pain, not tolerated at all
- pain free psoas and QL inhibition was performed, then the quadruped rock technique in the video significantly desensitized L lumbar spine to extension in standing
