- Trying to refrain from saying words like “weaker” or “degenerative,” or “bad” side
- Understanding what “normal” findings are with radiology on asymptomatic people
- How to have a difficult conversation with a patient after they’ve seen another healthcare practitioner and have a certain belief system or perception of their situation that is not helpful to their progress
- Useful resources to help explain pain to patients (Greg Lehman workbook, youtube videos, podcasts, etc)
- “Slow drip” of challenging information during other interventions like manual therapy vs having a formal “pain conversation”
