- Keep it simple!
- What is purpose of exercise? Pain modulation, mobility, endurance, strength, return to sport, etc
- What access to equipment/space does patient have
- Dosage of exercises: do we dose exercises for pain modulation/mobility the same as strength/hypertrophy, graded exposure? How does age, comorbidities, previous exercise experience, conditioning level affect dosage?
- Exercise should be restorative, not overflow someone’s cup!
- Timing of exercise- no inherently bad exercises, but certain things are not appropriate depending on nature and stage of situation
- Missing links: unilateral carries, crawling, hanging, single leg work
